Today’s book is “Wan Wan Okao” “Bow Wow Face”

Wan Wan is the sound a dog makes.  It’s the equivalent of Bow wow.

Kao means “face.”

The first pages here say, “The dog goes bow wow wow.  Doggy, doggy, where’s the mouth?”

(I use “The” because it says, “Okuchi.”  It doesn’t say “your mouth” or “his mouth.”  Somebody correct me please if it does indeed refer to the baby’s mouth only.)

I walked home from the library with this book.  The light turned red at an intersection, and I read the entire book while waiting for it to turn to green.  It goes through an array of animals and their sounds and body parts.

It can be found here.
