I was looking at the makeup remover at a drugstore. I thought I would take pictures so people out there can see the different drugstore brands. No English is on the bottles (other than the brand names like Dove and Biore.)
In that black circle is what you want to look for, if you are looking for makeup remover. It says:
Meiku=loanword for the English word “Make-up”
“Otosu” is a verb that literally means “to drop”
But here obviously the meaning is to remove.
So Meiku Otoshi means Make-up Remover.
Japanese people use the word “Make” for Make-up. So you might find a Japanese product that has the word pseudo English word “Make” on it. It is just short for “Make-up”
