This weekend is the Asian Moon Viewing Festival, and also an eclipse.  Yay!  Can’t get any better than that.

So what do we need for Asian moon viewing?  In Japan, people eat dango!  I think if you are in a place like the United States, they will be called “moon cakes.”   So please get some moon cakes and have fun watching the moon!

Moon viewing is not normally a “thing” in the U.S., but in Japan it is a big enough event to merit special books at the bookstore!  (Although this year, moon viewing will be a big event all over the Northern Hemisphere due to the eclipse.)

His after school snackie for Moon Viewing Festival!  The rabbit and moon is some sort of gummy candy.
