There was a free Bunraku performance on Saturday.  I took my son to see it.  My first clue that we might not love it was when we stepped into the auditorium and 90% of the audience was elderly.

So anyway, it began.  The puppets were absolutely beautiful.  For thirty minutes we watched a girl puppet and boy puppet sing to one another.  Then my son and I snuck out.  (There was another exhibit on computers that we really wanted to get to.)

The bunraku performance ended up lasting two hours and a half.  So I am kind of glad we did not stay.  We saw enough to see what it was like, and that was good.
