I bought this book in the States: http://www.storylineonline.net/thank-you-mr-falker-2/ “Thank you, Mr. Falker” It is the true story of the author, Patricia Polacco, and how she could not read well when she was a child. She was bullied for it and my son focussed on the bullying in the book.

We had a Parents’ Observation Day, and the class was Ethics. The topic was the famous comic book artist, Tezuka Osamu. He was bullied when he was a child and used his comics to relate to other people. http://tezukainenglish.com/

I thought it was interesting that my son is learning the same thing at home and at school!
