I’m talking animals, not a “Wild and Crazy Life” which I also have, but that is for another time.
Anyway, my son took this photo the first night we were in the States. What is it?
A raccoon, of course! Neato!! Plus we heard an owl hooting, plus during the day there were plenty of squirrels.
In Japan, in contrast, we have seen monkey and this animal: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%8F%E3%82%AF%E3%83%93%E3%82%B7%E3%83%B3 haku bishin (masked palm civit) Totally different wildlife, man! I have yet to see a bear, but my husband’s bullet train was stopped in Northern Japan by a family of bears that were on the tracks. Perhaps they were waiting for a train to Tokyo?
